Ok so I'm working at GAME now, good stuff. At the moment the games industry isn't doing so well so we're targeted on a lot of things and have to push sales like crazy. It's not the most friendly way to do business but if we don't keep our customers and encourage people to shop in stores instead of online there might not be any games retailers on the highstreet any more :(
So work's a mixed bag, I love selling games, making recommendations and having access to new games but the management puts a lot of pressure onto staff to increase sales. Anyways on the writing front things are at a bit of a standstill, I'm taking a hiatus from Fusion Gamer for various issues and Hookedgamers, whilst awesome, doesnt source review copies for me and with a very limited income and no contacts (or inclination to get them, this is voluntary afterall and a career seems unlikely) I dont get new games to write about so it's just retrospectives and features.
Wow I really bitch a lot about my life don't I? well on the upside I'm seeking help from the government with bills so I can have just a little spending money, I'm really enjoying spending time with my friends down here, playing videogames at the weekends and for all my gripes i love my job, working with games is awesome and it gives me room to show my knowledge, not to mention my co-workers are great. So it's not all negative for once!
